What is the difference between relative clauses and noun clauses?
Relative Clauses
Relative clauses describe a noun and also work as an adjective.
Here is an example.
''The guy who is standing over there, is my brother.''
The clause in bold describe the noun the guy.
Noun Clauses
Noun clauses function as a noun. This means it is the subject or object in a sentence.
Here is an example.
''I didn't realize what she was saying.
The clause in bold is the object of the verb realize.
